We are 16 going on 17....reminds me of the song from "The Sound of Music". Today we got together at Jimmy Cone in Damascus for soft serve ice cream. It's become a tradition with our friends from lamaze class. Yes, the very same lamaze class Joe and I went to in 1992 before Adam was born. The babies are now teens. Moms sit as nervous passengers while the kids drive us to the Jimmy Cone now. Vicky and the boys have recently moved further into their new home in Bethesda with Vick's fiance, Kevin. Sharon and the girls drove down from Ijamsville to join us. After 16 years, the "Moms" remain close friends and have shared many joys, sadnesses and memories together. Hari, Amanda, and Adam have immersed themselves into text messaging--the social network of their generation. The siblings came along (once again) for the ride. After all these years, we can still get cooperation for a group picture. One family from the original set of four babies moved to North Carolina and we keep in touch via e-mail.
Joe and I went last night to the Kentlands to join our friends, Amy and Alan, for a concert on the lawn. It was a beautiful evening, we enjoyed wine, Indian food and vegan chocolate cupcakes prepared by Alan. It certainly was nice to be able to socialize and relax with these friends who we typically "talk to" via email or phone.

awesome pictures! you'll probably only be able to do that till they graduate...but wouldn't it be cool if it went on and on and on!
Hey girl....I finally figured out how to "blog"! Yeah for me!
It was great getting together at JC and hearing the latest news with you guys. The kids said they had a nice time. Amanda said she and Hari gave Adam a hard time about not eating ice cream and working out too much! Kids!
I'm also going to say hello to Steph. Been a while, but you haven't changed a bit!
TTYL...wish me luck this weekend at Chris' dad's funeral!
