What better way to celebrate a special birthday than to invite eight kids on 8-8-08 to celebrate Mason's 13th birthday! As some of you may recall, Mason dressed as the Pope for a special mass held by his school during the Pope's visit to Maryland. So, it was only appropriate that we hold the party in the "Pope's room" at Buca Di Bepo Italian restaurant where the Pope's head is prominently displayed in the middle of the table while you eat. Not sure if the room decorations reinforced or degraded the Catholic teachings but the boys found it fun, had a great time getting together catching up during the final dog days of summer. I'm still thinking about the Snakes on a bicycle (boys?!).
